ClearCorrect aligners can create the minor corrections you want.

ClearCorrect is the clear and high-tech way to straighten your teeth without wearing metal braces.  You can still show off your smile!

No wires. No brackets. Just a clear, convenient comfortable method that gives you every reason to smile.  With ClearCorrect, your teeth can be straightened using a series of clear, custom, removable aligners. Each aligner moves your teeth just a little bit at a time until you eventually get straight teeth.

ClearCorrect fits your lifestyle and daily routine as perfectly as it fits your teeth—you won’t need to change a thing.

Results are faster the more you wear your aligners, and ClearCorrect was designed to be effortless and non-intrusive in your life so you can wear your aligners as much as possible. Your aligners are easy to put in and take out when you eat or clean your teeth.

And each ClearCorrect treatment is custom to you. ClearCorrect uses your records to create exact 3D models of your teeth and maps out a complete treatment plan of gradual adjustment that takes your teeth from where they are to where you and Dr. Orland want them to end up.

Sandy Springs | Chamblee Invisible Orthodontics

Sandy Springs Chamblee Orthodontist near meEverybody wants a great smile, but sometimes we need a little help. Not to worry, more and more people are reaching success with clear orthodontic aligners from Clear Correct.   Traditional braces use brackets connected by wires to encourage teeth to move, while Clear Correct aligners are a series of tight-fitting custom-made retainers that slip over the teeth. They’re made from a clear plastic or acrylic material and fit tightly over the teeth, but can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. You’ll get a new aligner every few weeks to continue moving your teeth into the desired position.

In our Sandy Springs and Chamblee offices we use them for cosmetic purposes to achieve the right smile. Clear orthodontic aligners are typically used for patients who have mild or moderately crowded teeth, or have minor spacing issues.  Because the invisible aligners are custom-built for a tight fit, they are best for adults or teens.

Clear Correct Orthodontics by the Right Smile Center

Clear Aligner Tray

The field of orthodontics made a quantum leap with a technique for removable clear aligners developed in 1997, and today it is absolutely possible to straighten teeth with nearly invisible appliances. The use of clear aligners involves the application of a series of incrementally different aligners for top and bottom teeth that are similar in appearance to whitening trays. Aligners are typically changed every two to four weeks, and each new set is designed to gradually shift teeth into place.  Our practice generally focuses on cosmetic Orthodontic Tooth Movement (OTM), so most of our treatment plans last somewhere around 6 to 8 months.

Obviously, the treatment success depends heavily on your compliance. Patients are generally happier with aligners because they’re nearly invisible and can be taken out for brushing and eating. What’s most important is the aligners must be worn 20 to 22 hours per day for treatment to remain on track.

So the next time you consider helping your smile reach its potential and your face registers instant dismay when orthodontics pops in your head, we have a nearly invisible and affordable offer you can’t refuse.  Please give us call or email us for a consult.

Cosmetic Orthodontics- Chamblee Dentist

orthodontist near meLimited-objective orthodontics meets the aesthetic demands and quality of cosmetic dentistry we time and time again seek in our practice.  The concept of “Contemporary Orthodontics” is a useful tool of limited outcome orthodontics for adult patients. It has recently been rebranded and commonly referred to as short-term orthodontics because it can usually be accomplished in 12 months or less.

The entire process of using clear aligners has been developed by specialist orthodontists to be delivered by general dentists. Short-term orthodontics was never meant to be a substitute for full (or comprehensive) orthodontics.  Rather, it is an extension of cosmetic dentistry and an aesthetic alternative to veneers and crowns.

Preferring to move teeth rather than brandish a hand-piece, I use removable aligners to reach comparable aesthetic results.  It is rewarding to create great aesthetic results and save patients from having heavily prepped teeth restored with porcelain crowns or veneers and the resulting problems that may occur with these treatments. With cosmetic orthodontics, I look forward to seeing our patients. It is enjoyable to see how treatment unfolds, critically appraise cases and decide on our next course of action to bring our treatment plan to fruition.

And as our patients approach the finishing line, we notice the tremendous improvement made to their smile.  Clear aligners have been a fantastic addition to my skill set, enabling me to produce huge improvements to patients’ smiles and self-confidence.  It is the most rewarding aspect of my career to date.   I look forward to a working day when I have an orthodontic appliance review.

Chamblee Orthodontics – Clear Correct

You can see the smile but not the braces.

Braces: Looking Good and Feeling Great

It’s been proven that people are captivated by beautiful smiles, so it’s understandable why you’d want to get dental braces for cosmetic reasons. But straight teeth don’t just look better; they’re healthier, too.

When teeth are properly aligned, they’re easier to clean … and when your teeth are clean and dental plaque-free, you’re less likely to need a tooth filling or gum disease treatment. Wearing braces can also help prevent excessive wear of your teeth and help you chew better.

Today’s braces have come a long way from the stereotypical “tin grins” of TV and movies. In addition to traditional metal braces for straightening teeth, there are now a variety of braces designed with your comfort and appearance in mind:

Removable Braces — Removable braces are mouthguard-like devices made of clear plastic. ClearCorrect dental aligners are the most common type of removable braces.

No matter which type of dental braces you choose, orthodontic treatment can bring about a major improvement in your appearance and your quality of life.  In approximately 6 to 12 months — the typical active treatment time for clear aligner braces — most people are able to achieve the smile of their dreams.

Are dental braces right for you?  Ask our dentist during your next dental checkup.

Clear Correct vs Invisalign | Dentist Sandy Springs

Orthodontist near me
Clear orthodontic aligners

When a patient comes into our Sandy Springs and Chamblee office they are paying for a service.  Your orthodontist is going to give you the result while utilizing the tools necessary to get that result.   Whether we give you the result with a clear tray from company A or B, it shouldn’t matter, because both companies[1] make trays that exert a force on the tooth to get it to the desired position.

I like the fact that Clear Correct manufactures their aligners right here in the United States, not offshore like Invisalign.  Does Invisalign have more fancy bells and whistles for the provider…yes.  But those bells and whistles don’t translate into a benefit we can pass along to the patient other than price.

What Invisalign and ClearCorrect Have in Common:

  • Both are virtually invisible, so no one has to know that you’re wearing braces. They are made of a clear plastic.
  • Both can easily be removed and cleaned.
  • Both are custom fit to a patient’s teeth.
  • Both are non-invasive.
  • Both can be used by patients who are allergic to metal.
  • Both must be worn nearly all day (they are removed while eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing).
  • Both adjust the teeth in very small increments over a specified period of time (for example, 2-4 weeks), you will move on to the next phase of treatment and receive a new aligner.
  • For both, the length of treatment will depend on the current position of your teeth and how far you hope to move them. We will determine the length of treatment.

Here are a few reasons why I prefer ClearCorrect:

Invisalign:

1)  charges the doctor and ultimately the patient for the final retainer at the end, which could cost the patient on average about $800 additional.
2) charges for extra steps if the patient is not completely happy at the end of treatment.
3) Prices are usually higher per case.

With ClearCorrect:

  • the retainer at the end is free.
  • if patient is not completely satisfied at the end, additional steps are usually free for full cases.
  • prices are usually less.
  • In my opinion, the clear aligners seem thinner and clearer than Invisalign’s.  This makes them even less noticeable than Invisalign.

The brand of the plastic aligners has no bearing on how your teeth will move, and how your bite will feel and look at the end of treatment.  More important, the success of treatment lies with how well we understand clear aligners and how well we can deliver your desired outcome.  As always, start with our full check-up and periodontal exam and make sure your bite, gums and teeth are healthy for orthodontic treatment.  Feel free to contact us for an exploratory consultation.
